Ryder Cup broadcast observation/question

Do you think Golf Channel/NBC have intentionally directed the on course microphones toward the crowd to get every roar, and worse yet, every asinine comment made by the crowd? My surround sound is pegging the meter every time Americans hit a ball. Constant fluctuations in my volume.

We've been here all week. We are staying in Milwaukee. The people here are very, very nice. The crowds are being very loud but for the most part NBC sucks at covering golf. JMHO.
