Only us old farts will remember him. Great DL for the Washington Redskins. Part of 2 Super Bowl Championships with the Redskins. Just read a pretty lengthy write up about his death on the ESPN site. No where in the article could you find the word “Redskin”, the name of the team when he played for them. PC and woke cancel culture at its finest.

He was a GREAT Player. Enjoyed watching him play. Been a rough 2 days with Butz and Ray Guy Passing! Both were NFL Hall of Famers.

Met him when I was a kid at a waterfowl festival, he was a phenomenal decoy carver. He had his helmet on the table in his booth, thing was huge. My father was 6’7” and 300lbs, remember him saying that he felt small for the first time in his life talking to Butz.
