Rained out awhile so paid respects to our Soldiers at Cemetery.

Jul 13, 2022, 4:09 PM

Pretty humbling every time I've visited here in Beaufort SC but surprised myself today with a quick spontaneous tear during picture talking.

Very nice! I have been to the American cemetery in Normandy twice. It will bring tears.

of years ago was laid to rest there. The military ceremony was beautiful to watch. Until that time, I was not even aware there was a National Cemetery in Beaufort.

Apologies, that TD may have been me. Wish there was a way to reverse it.

When I was in Lexington had friends from Wyoming come down for The Heritage and I took them there. Needless to say, it was a tear jerking moment. Thoroughly enjoyed the golf but said that was the highlight of their trip.

I never served in the armed forces.

My utmost respect to all of you that have.

Grateful to those who gave their life for our country.

My Dad served in WWII in the Navy. RIP.

Thank you for sharing these, Bill. It's a good way for everyone to pay respects to our vets.

Thanks Bill. Everyone should pay respects sometime. I do the same thing here in Columbia at Fort Jackson. Very moving.
Have a question.

The picture of crew putting down grass, is that all unknowns buried in that area? Thanks

Hey GatorBowl..

No, regular grave sites seemed to be getting new sod since hundreds & hundreds were already stripped of old grass and were barren soil.

Thx for asking~

Major Louis Reisman, a good officer and good friend, is buried in that cemetery. We served together in the AF for four years.
