You mean athletic offices. IPTAY etc will have offices. It will still have all the game day locker rooms .

The point is: If you aren't continually upgrading facilities, you get left behind quickly. Also, the West Zone is going to be used for other athletic office spaces, and other great uses to further the Atheletics of Clemson University. There are a few articles outlining what the West Zone will be used for. As of now, the team has to dress in the Weat Zone & take shuttles to the practice fields. This consolidates everything in one area. If you aren't being proactive, you are being reactive. When you react, you lose. Every improvement sweetens the pot for every prospect. The Clemson football program finances every other sport at the University. It is the University's largest source of income by far. To reinvest into the football program will only further the money making ability.

Your point makes itself. If it's outdated the day it's finished, it's time to upgrade

Agree with your sentiment, but one correction - The university's biggest source of revenue by far is from student tuition and fees at around $300 million annually. To your point, investing in football will have a positive effect on the rest of Clemson athletics.

When the basketball team can do better than a double overtime win over Lenoir Rhyne, I think more support may come their way.

Good lord that is terrible logic. You want them to have Football type success without giving them tools to do so.

Looking at the original proposal, they've chopped off 17,000 sq ft and $8 million dollars from the budget. After seeing how they slashed the budget and totally changed the "new" arena (aka LittleJohn Redo 2) I am not sure what it will look like when it finally gets built. I hope we aren't trying to take the cheap way out and it ends up not being the quality facility we've been led to believe it will be. I don't trust Dan Radakovich, he reminds me of a shady, used car salesman.

Just imagine where it'll be headed now . Maybe that what brings out your Cootness. USuC is still playing catch up facilities wise. Before they could just catch up, Clemson has broken ground on facilities that compete with Bama and Oregon. USuC will NEVER catch up now.

.....and another hungry child goes to bed with hunger pains

in Pickens county tonight. Not saying this is not needed, nice, or that Clemson is not worthy, but IMO this is getting ridiculous. I'm not a liberal, but I do think Clemson and other universities around this country have all their priorities wrong. I have even heard that segways are in order for the players because it is so far from this facility to their classes. What next? Rolex watches because they keep the most accurate time and they cannot be late for practice. Being number one is nice, but is the cost too high. Not the $, but the cost of the collapse of social responsibility versus empowered entitlement that this encourages. Wow....just wow!

I will tell you this strait out ., If a child goes hungry in pickens county its the parents fault ., Before blasting Clemson ., you should check on the amount of charity and Food provided by the churches in Pickens all supported by Clemson and Clemson people ., You need to volunteer your time to make sure these children have something to eat ., What Church do you support ??? How much of your money do you give to your church ., Don't worry about what Clemson buys or spends ., Without Clemson ,., Pickens county would be just another cow pasture .,

And, actually it does. If you aren't too lazy to read the explanation about what the west zone will be used for. It's in a information packet on Clemson Universities website. Ones going to be a football operations center, and player rec. The west zone is going to continue to be the press area, other athletic offices, the museum the oculus already is. I'm not going to do all your work for you. Google it

This is socialism at its core. Clemson, or anyone can spend their money any way they see fit. It isn't my job, or Clemsons to feed other people's children. It's hard enough to take care of my own responsibilities. People like you are what's wrong with America. 60% of Americans on welfare. It's ll about the next handout. Children that go hungry are because their parents allow it to happen. There are people that need a hand up from time to time. But this hand out craps gotta go! Socialism doesn't work. You don't like America, move to France. There's plenty more social programs there to suck the economy dry. There's no reason for ANY child to go hungry. Between the MILLIONS Clemson donates annually, and the churches alone there is food available for anyone truly in need. The children go hungry because their parents are too proud. Can you tell me how many children died in SC from malnutrition last year? Last ten years? ZERO! Bleeding heart liberal!
