officiating complaints.

Oct 24, 2022, 5:12 PM

I was watching Dino Babers interview on the acc network where he wanted to know why Cuse got a flag on Cade and Clemson did not get one when Garret was pushed out of bounds. When they showed the replay, It was easy to see that Cade was clearly out of bounds when the defender pushed him. Garret was 2 yards inbounds when the Clemson defender pushed him out of bounds. So in my opinion both ,the call and no-call were correct.

I took note of a similar observation. The hit on Cade started when he was out of bounds. The push/hit on the Cuse QB started when he was inbounds and continued when he was out of bounds. The other dynamic is that Cade is viewed as little guy getting hammered by more athletic stronger guys. Cuse QB is big strong fast enough to take on a linebacker.

deliver a hard blow to Cade when everything was clearly already out of bounds.

It was a significant hit.

Our guy gave Shrader a shove in a continuation of a motion that began on the field of play.

It was an insignificant hit.

I'd also add that Schrader seemed to crumple intentionally the moment he hit the sideline. Not quite a flop, but closer to that than a PF.

And here I thought you’d come up with a way to officiate T-Net dumpers… oh well

Schrader was still in bounds nd still trying to throw the ball. It was not like he was sliding.
