This was essentially a bye for Alabama. They have been able to be vanilla on offense and show nothing new. Their size on both lines was way too much to overcome for Cincinnati. I think they had a great season and should have made final 4, but this result would have been the same against Bama, Georgia or Michigan. The trenches with these guys are just a different game....

the CFP title game after Bama scored on an onside kick. Clemson led almost the entire game and we lost very late in the fourth quarter by 4 point resulting from the onside kick by Bama.
In 2016 Clemson spanked Ohio State 31-0, then beat Bama 34-31 in Tampa for the CFP Title.
In 2017, Kelly Bryant could not throw the ball, and we lost a close game with Bama in the first round.
In 2018, Clemson spanked Notre Dame 33-3 in the first round, and we then beat Bama 44-16 to win the CFP title. That is the worst beating Saban has had since he became the head coach at Bama.
In 2019, Clemson got to the title game undefeated to play against LSU in New Orleans, which was essentially a home game for LSU. We lost by 17 points.
In 2020, we beat Ohio State in the first round, and lost in the second round to Bama.
We lost in the first round of the 2021 CFP against a Ohio St. team that had only played six games all year, while Clemson played 11 games.
Name the three scores you claim we got spanked. We only lost two games by more than 17 points. The last game against Ohio State in 2021, and the LSU 2020 CFP title game in New Orleans by 17 points.

Alabama does this to just about everyone. Power 5, Group of 5, makes no difference. Only Little Old Clemson competes with them.
