Saturday was a day of Clemson firsts for me and MfOjr.

First of all, we had a great time. The weather was perfect, the company was great and the game was exciting. We tailgated and sat with Skeeta56® and BloodbeOrange®, his daughter and her friend. It was our first ACC road game, first OT game and win, first college game I was able to buy a beer inside the stadium and the first time I have ever saw a blood blister about the size of a fifty cent piece (BbO for high fiving so hard)!!
The stadium was nice and the atmosphere was great. Wake fans were into the game and their student section was loud. DJ and the receivers played great. Tyler Davis really showed up, especially in OT. Great to see the TE's more involved. Hartman was as good as advertised and was throwing dimes. The secondary really missed Mukuba and Jones. Tried to find a program and was unable to.
MfOjr. slept most of the way back but when he woke up, he mentioned several times how exciting the game was and how much fun he had.

Sounds like it's one of those games that MfOjr will remember for a lifetime! I sure do have plenty of those games with my dad! Glad it was a safe trip even more glad that the good guys won! Go Tigers beat em all!
The trip was an easy ride up the new Interstate 74, just long enough to chat and catch up. The company was exceptional!!! A Wake fan (Scotty) was friendly . . . almost too friendly . . . playing catch with MfOJr then introducing him to his family . . . needless to say, we kept a close eye on our little Tiger until he returned! The game was fever pitched, especially the 4th Quarter and OTs. MfOJr learned from watching how to make noise when it really mattered and he was screaming at the top of his lungs with the rest of us!!!
When our defense made the stop to “seal the deal”, you’ve never seen grown ups and kids celebrate the joys of winning at any higher clip. Hugs abounded!!! We stayed through the interviews on field. Clemson patiently waited for Wake to sing their Alma Mater, then we all joined our gladiators in singing our triumphant chorus. We waited in the stands . . . by this time, only Tigers remained . . . until the aisles were passable. As we perused the concourse amidst our orange clad brethren, we were a contented, victorious bunch.
Once to the lot, we visited and relived the emotions before saying our goodbyes to BloodbeOrange® before heading south to our rendezvous.
It was a PURRFECT Day to be a Tiger!!!
MfO, BbO and I have talked about making a game together and putting faces with names for over a year . . . On this day . . . Sept 24, 2022 . . . It happened in a special way!!! Thank you MfO and BbO for making the day so memorable for this old Tiger!!!
(As for the picture . . . I’m the fat guy in the middle . . . BbO is to my left . . . MfO is on my right)
(Yes . . . we took pictures of the kidos, but their dads will have to share them!)
