Next year we are playoff bound…

Jan 9, 2022, 8:59 AM

Klubnik is coming folks. Defenses are shaking in fear this morning after Klubnik performance.
You can blitz but Klubnik just gonna escape it and make a accurate pass. Klubnik fits this Streeter offense and Clemson offense will be absolutely unstoppable there won’t be a defense in the country that can stop the high powered Clemson offense. 40 plus points a game. Clemson winning the natty next season only way we don’t is if Klubnik isn’t the starter or he gets hurt. Don’t bash my enthusiasm and optimism about the future of Clemson football.

We need better WR play to actually win anything

Jan 9, 2022, 9:04 AM

Well we might win the ACC, but we won't do damage in CFP with the same level of WR play we had this year, even with a great QB.

Also might want to see how all of these new coaches actually do.

The wide receivers will improve

Agree with this 100%. Spent the weekend watching some past playoff/NC games

It’s pretty obvious that the WRing core has taken a step back.

Go watch the NC game in Tampa. Scott, Renfrow, Williams(double wow), Cain and Leggett. Unreal talent that Watson had around him.

I think if the entire team is healthy we will go far and would have a chance of winning it. It also depends how many players Bama and Georgia are bring back. I think the team is a threat to win it all.

Agree 100%! Effort, determination, talent? Something has

been missing with this group.

Injuries have been an issue as well.

Maybe the coaching was not as strong as it has been in the past?

But overall, the 2021 receiving corps was sorely lacking when compared to the best groups we’ve had, and even suffered up against last years fairly thin group.

These are all highly recruited players.

Somehow, some way they have to get a lot better.

Injuries were a huge problem last season. EJ missed over

half the games. There were times where Ngata, Ladson, Ajou, E.J. and Ross were all out at the same time. This left Dabo's two sons Will and Drew, along with freshman Beau and Decari Collin who both played well.

Well the WR recruiting has improved and 247 will tell you that we should be seeing better play from our WR room. The difference is the coach in the room. I know Grisham is new to this but the standard remains and he needs to find a way to get the best out of them. Maybe he could make some calls to South Florida or sit in on some clinics with Coach Scott.

I don't see us recruiting our way to a better WR group, and I don't think the talent is lacking. We all saw what EJ Williams, Ngata, and Collinsx2 can do when they are at their best.

If nothing else, I'd say you're perhaps one of the

most persistent posters about this Cade over DJ business.

I'm certainly no guru, but I wouldn't be surprised to see our staff take about the same approach, as they did with TL and JB. Regardless, no amount of persistence on our part is going to sway Dabo and Co. one way of the other, and I suspect 99.99 percent of TNetters will agree.

Nevertheless, as I believe in our "open" forum format, have at it, my friend.

Re: Next year we are playoff bound…

Jan 9, 2022, 9:16 AM

There is a reason why only 2 true freshman have won a national championship, Cade will be ready to roll by year 2, but he’s not leading us there next year, still too much to develop. The reason Trevor was able to was because of the talent around him combined with his talent, he wouldn’t have taken last years team to a championship (ACC yes, NC no most likely, nothing is 100%). That 18 team had 90% of the starters drafted on both sides of the ball and about 6 first or 2nd rounders…. We currently don’t have that… sit back and enjoy the ride but calm down a bit.

I am (as always) also very optimistic about the Tigers going into next year. But it is remarkable how hard it is for you to keep your panties on when Cade is mentioned.

Re: Next year we are playoff bound…

Jan 9, 2022, 12:50 PM

We have a good chance if we don’t lose games by not starting Cade soon enough. If the starter remains the same as last year we’d be lucky to make it to the Cheeze-It again. If third in the ACC is acceptable, leaves things as they were next season.

Come on now where is your optimism. Here I am hyping up the team I love going into next year. Believing Clemson is winning the natty next year with a talented freshman QB. And here you are being pessimistic trying to distinguish my excitement.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Tell 'em u7c coot, no one knows losing better than you

You watched 13 games with our OL and come up with the idea we are elite? It's a group somewhere in the bottom half of the BCS schools. Are we loaded with 5 star OL recruits on the bench or coming in for an immediate fix? Well, let's just say it's not a Texas A&M recruiting class. This is far from a line that can compete at the highest level. We will prey for incremental improvement but as NIL becomes entrenched our parade of 5 stars will likely shrink from past years. ACC championship first and then you can start to have a realistic assessment of how we stand.

You need to pick a new team. Go hang out on the SCAR

So no one wants to here how Clemson winning the Natty next year? I mean I would surely hope everyone here expects a natty next year. Go Tigers

Again, every post you make clearly shows you are not

Jan 9, 2022, 2:09 PM

a Clemson fan, you are clearly a fan of another school, likely the Coots.

Too bad you cannot pull for your real team, but maybe you are just too tired of trying to show your team is great, when they are not.

Re: Next yr we are playoff bound… Haldol and Zoloft may help

Enthusiasm (presumably you are being sincere instead of attempting to be a 'funny troll') is one thing, but your statements are wild.

If this is your standard M.O., then talk to you doctor and ask him if Haldol and Zoloft may be right for you.

We need to beat ND, but I don't see a healthy Clemson losing to anyone in the ACC next year. On the road at ND could be tough. I am not sure what they having coming back as far as how many starters are returning. If we beat ND we are going to the playoff.

Even a 12-1 acc champion Clemson is in the playoffs. So happy to see optimism from someone other then myself. Good days are ahead for Clemson football
