The Rolling Stones played in the Valley when I was a sophomore (I think). 1990ish. I did not attend (no $$$) but could hear it very well from B518. Might have been a good idea to find a way to be there.

played at DV. Wasn't long after I moved away.
Anyway, brother-in-law at the time was getting tickets and asked if I wanted some.
Turned it down...I mean, those guys were like 50 years old already, how good of a show could it be, right? DOH!

The wife got a full access ticket doing school concession work... I stayed home with the kids... Her take away from the show was being in the ladies room when "Paint it Black" kicked off... Said she almost got off from the vibes thru the toilet seat...

The craziest experience I had at a Clemson Concert was 1985 David Lee Roth at Little John, I was a High School senior, we piled up in my VW Rabbit in a rain storm(gully washer) my alternator died on the exit ramp so we stuck a shirt out the car waving an a Clemson student picked us up and gave us a ride to Little John, we were soaked but traded our 10th row seats for front row center stage seats. We had an awesome time, meet so many girls it was crazy. I had to call my Dad to come get us before he had to preach that morning & the adventure was just beginning.
Crazy how free & young you are at 16-17 years old…lol

Thanks for reminding me that I did not miss that concert. That night was part of my unforgettable senior year of High School and I may still be a little comfortably numb from that year.

I vaguely remember that night

I did a swan dive over the bushes in front of Hardees and nearly ended up rolling into hwy 93. I remember think to myself "they sound a lot different live" because I was a fairly new PF fan and hadn't heard much of the post Roger Waters stuff. I remember pigs with lights coming out of their eyes and a dog.. my friends that went with me thought I was crazy mentioning a dog because they don't recall it, but I swear somewhere there was a dog.

My biggest regret missing Pink Floyd THE DARK SIDE
May 14, 2022, 10:44 PM

OF THE MOON Concert in LONDON in 1972, big posters on wall, and we Americans were wondering what is a "PINK FLOYD". They were just getting popular over there.

surreal. Pink Floyd in Death Valley?... where I'd watched all those Charlie Pell & Danny Ford teams kick ### and take names in the 70's & 80's? Pink Floyd is playing here?! Are you effing kidding me? Did I just wake up from some magnificent dream? It still blows my mind that Death Valley ended up being one of the venues for that 1994 tour. For me personally, it was some bizarre lining up of the planets... seeing my all-time favorite band playing on the hallowed ground of my beloved Tigers...

had an awesome, somewhat mind blowing time ( no psychedelics). The egg (bell) at the other end of the stadium that opened near the end of the show? Really weird to see people like hands in the air worshiping it like some Jim Bakker kinda shid. Creeped me out a bit.
Bucket list kinda thing, but slightly disappointing.
Now the Stones blew the roof off the place. That was way cool, no weirdness. Living Color was phuggin awesome too.

thoroughly enjoyed... meant that I graduated in the class of 80, not 79. So my diploma has Bill Atchley as the President, not R.C. Edwards.
Bummer.
