I rarely post on here. Just like to read what some of you morons who take sports overly serious, like nothing is more important, talk about. I can't believe no one is talking about Miami's bat flip that initiated the benches being cleared. Miami's head coach should be embarrassed. The entire fan base should be embarrassed.

If you think Miami fans could possibly be embarrassed over that little act, then you haven't watched ESPN's 30-on-30 about Miami. They relish being thugs. They cherish the idea of being the bad guys. They live for it. What team do you think is responsible for so many rules in football? Celebration, bowing after a good play, hand to the ear after plays, standing over a player and taunting, etc. ALL of those rules are there because of...wait for it...MIAMI. They are thugs. It's not called "THUG-U" for no reason. They even call themselves that. Where have you been for the past 20 years?
Anyway, if you didn't know, that's your quick history lesson on Miami. I apologize if this post sounds harsh, but I don't respect Miami at all. Coach Golden wasn't "thug" enough for that program, so they couldn't win for him. They suck and should never have been invited to be in the ACC. Even CMR won't clean up that thug program. He'll pull out what little hair he has left.

IMO...while the batter went far overboard in watching his hr and flipping his bat all of whicb was designed to "show up the pitcher/opposing team".....Michelangelli's behavior and comments to the BC catcher (whom it appeared also said something in response) as he was running down the 3rd baseline towards home were what constituted "going over the line". It was entirely unnecessary and a display of extremely poor sportsmanship.......the umpire should have immediately given Michelangelli and the Miami duguout a warning and should have called both coaches for a meeting and instructed them to get their teams under control to make sure there were no more incidents
Although I didn't hear the announcers elaborate, they stated there had been some sort of history between the two teams.
And unfortunately, a lot of us haven't forgotten the thuggish behavior and criminal activity of Miami's football teams in the 80's and 90's. That sense of entitlement to engage in such behavior is deplorable and one the nation hoped had passed since their most recent embarrassing investigation and subsequent NCAA probation just a few years ago.........and people were pointing towards Donna Shilala (sp) as a candidate should a "czar" be appointed for college football---a mistake IMO--she couldn"t even conrol her own athletic dept while president of UM

I think him going out of his way getting in the catchers face before crossing the plate was the main thing here. Probably was some earlier history I didnt see too

BCs catcher was walking up to him while he was headed home. IMO he is who started the situation and ofcourse the Miami player had to say something as they are thugs.

BCs catcher had every right to be upset with the Miami player because of how he acted after he hit the homer.
First he held the bat until the ball landed and then flipped the bat. Then while rounding third he was looking in and mouthing something into the BC dugout. That's why the BC catcher was looking at him, and then the Miami player acted like a complete moron towards him.
I don't know how you can say the BC player started anything if you actually watched what happened.

If you hit a home run you can hold your bar and flip it. How is that a knock to the other team? As dude was coming home the BC catcher started walking towards him. It was out of line in my book by both players and teams but idk what the hitter said to the dugout rounding 3rd and idk what the catcher said maybe you do tho huh. It looked to me like the catcher was walking up to dude as he was about to celebrate with his team at home. Then the U player did act a fool but the catcher shouldn't have walked up to him saying something.

I dont know what kind of baseball you are watching, but when a player holds the bat until the ball lands over the fence, then flips the bat in a way to bring attention to himself, that is going to cause problems.
You're saying it's ok to do that? Of coarse that would #### the whole BC team off. The catcher had every right to say something to the Miami batter. Any catcher would have. That was not a normal celebration, that was 100% bush league.
Once again how someone could say it's the BC catchers fault is crazy to me. What was he supposed to do, just let the Miami guy show them up like that?

If a team were to do that to me I would show them on the field not be thugs with them. That is what Clemson football did when they were acting like they were shooting us before the game.
