If Dabo had Tommy Bowden's win/loss record, none of these clowns would be saying a d@mn thing.

All I've seen is the quote about Coach Swinney quitting if players got a salary (a quote from a few years ago & obviously not exactly the same as NIL at all) & it was from a generic Twitter handle that picks on everyone to create engagement.
I still can't wait to see Clemson players more----I saw Bo Nix take a picture for a sweet tea company, but it looked silly. Clemson guys won't look like that.

You can still be anonymous & therefore have no real consequences of being horrible & toxic on Twitter,
however there are a lot of exceptional people on there & the news is delivered faster than anywhere else.
Darien Rencher, for example, does great on his Twitter, & now it sounds like he's looking to do a podcast.

I hear you. I don't agree with absolutely everything he says, either.
But it's HIS name, his thoughts & choices. I do think largely he's been an incredible representative for Clemson University in particular.
Still, his choices determine who will & who won't align with him, including sponsors. Darien wants to do a podcast, so HIS voice, his thoughts, his ideas, his name, & I think that's a great thing to see people do, & back to the original point, a LOT of the Dabo-hating on Twitter today is coming from anonymous accounts, so to speak.
Plus the idea of Coach Swinney being a guest on Rencher's podcast is a relentlessly exciting idea to me.

Darien's girlfriend is on YouTube and he appears there, some, with her. Braden Galloway's girlfriend has a pretty big following on YouTube and he appears with her frequently.

Dabo has not changed his mind or joined anything. His original quote was (paraphrased) that if the college players became professional then why would he want to coach a pro college team and would likely look for a spot in the NFL. He has been a supporter of the NIL calling it a logical improvement.
