KJ Henry / All In Cookout update/Salyer
Just spent a few minutes with DE target KJ Henry here at The Opening, and we had a good discussion about the Cookout and his absence. He said he indeed won't be there, but it has nothing to do with Clemson and that people are making too big a deal of it. He said he agreed to attend, but he has a team function (a 7 on 7) and he wants to be there for his teammates.
We will have more later, but he also told me he is building a GREAT relationship with new DL coach Todd Bates, and that Clemson will "always be there" at the top when it comes time to make a decision.
I also got some great stuff from Jamaree Salyer, who told me one of the differences between Clemson and Georgia right now is that at Clemson "you can win a national championship, and thats big."

Just listened to the Scout interview with Cook at the Opening and sounds like he may cut his top 10 down to just 3, and also confirmed that he will be at the cook out as one of his last 2 visits this summer.

Concerning Salyer's comment about championships

I've been following our program for a lot of years. I've never forgotten the sting of reading what SC native Jamal Reynolds said to Tommy West when he told him he was going to commit to FSU. He said that he loved everything about Clemson but that he had to go where he could win a national championship.
It's taken 20 years but it feels great to hear the opportunity for a championship given as a reason to come TO Clemson.

if I had to rank them. Want them all, of course.
But Salyer...we NEED. Elite OL from Georgia. Really need to break through on that one.
I know the pressure is huge for him to go to UGA. Let's hope he breaks away from that and heads to Clemson for some special times.
