Kelly Bryant Could Have Had his Cake and Eat it too.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Dabo offer KB a chance to stay on and run the scout team? Bryant could have been a good teammate by helping the program get prepared for each of the games while not playing any more games to protect his transfer status and would have been perceived a hero in a support role. He would have been able to workout and stay in shape with people that care for him.

But he didn't. Clemson did a lot for KB. Keep in mind this is also a guy that got VERY sick, I believe nearly lethally, at the end of his HS career and Clemson stuck with him honoring his scholarship offer. He had lost like 40lbs and was nowhere near playing shape but Dabo sticks with his commitments. I’m sure he lost many of his offers.

He got the rings he earned last year and got what he deserved this year which was a Clemson degree.

Known fact is Dabo simply demoted KB2 for next game but that he would play some in it..

and if TLaw had a bad outing then Kelly would be #1 again..so on.

No, Dabo did not fire KB2 but instead Kelly chose to leave at that juncture possibly due to having played the 4 game limit. Made sense but don't believe he gave Dabo a heads up for days.

Why is this still being discussed? Did KB say he wanted a ring? I haven't seen anywhere that says he was asking for one. This is all a media deal stirring the pot.

He quit prior to mid season. He was not a TEAM man so he wan not on the TEAM so he did absolutely nothing to deserve a ring. If you aint on the TEAM you aint gone git no ring! Live with it Kelly and you too Finebaum you scrawny bee-----atch!

I don't really have a problem with him not getting a ring, and wouldn't of had a problem had he gotten one.

With that said though, I don't think him staying on with the team last year and simply taking a redshirt was a realistic possibility. What happens in the Syracuse game when Lawrence goes down and Bryant is on the sidelines? People were mad at him for the way things played out already, just imagine how mad people would've been with Bryant standing on the sidelines and not coming into the game in that situation. Then just imagine how much worse that anger would've been had we actually lost that game.

Also, right or wrong, Bryant was obviously upset at the demotion, at least initially. It was bad enough to make a couple of angry quotes to the media. Just imagine if that anger was inside our locker room instead.
