It would be nice if Clemson had a team.

It’s long overdue. Make it happen, DRad!

Would it really be nice or would it be another sport that no one cares about? Without looking it up who are the two best two players on our volleyball team or who are our best doubles team on both the men’s and women’s tennis squads?

I care because Clemson is playing. Imho, one of the reasons fans don't know and hence don't really care is the lack of material reported on said sports.

Tnet is the only place you can remotely get any decent material and that material is provided by users posting in the forums. Any information by the tnet staff on anything other than football and basketball is scraped from Clemsontigers.com. I begged for info on when the softball team was leaving for Bama, and even tweeted DRad office for a time. Same thing for our golf team returning as ACC champs. I got zero response.

As great a job that Dabo and staff do for providing information and promo to recruits, as an athletic department we fall very short in any sport not named football.

That goes for basketball as well. If it wasn't for nctigs and Judge, we wouldn't have a clue of the potential transfers Clemson is looking into for bball...

Bball is a good example to use. How many in depth interviews of our players or potential recruits do you see. You see it all the time in football. Now, I'm not saying we shouldn't have all the information in football, I'd love more.

But what I am saying, is what kind of message would we send if we had in depth reporting and stories on bball. Perhaps that potential recruit would come here and say "wow, Clemson really cares about bball..." Vs coming to a site and only finding negative material. So yeah, I care about ALL Clemson sports.

I couldn't care less for Clemson to look more like preppier UVA, UNC and Duke (pinky finger up as I sip my coffee) by having some of these sports like lacrosse. As long as we are a butt kicking football school I'm good with that.

I appreciate lacrosse and the Native American history behind the game. I also love all Clemson sports and support the university as a whole. You don't have to love it, but some do.
