Is it wrong to hope former coaches/coordinators do well

Dec 15, 2021, 12:31 PM

as Head Coaches at their respective schools? ie; Scott, Venables, Elliott. I personally hope they all do well.

Not at all. I hope they win every game unless they play us.***

In the case of BV, no! That man put his heart and soul into Clemson and Clemson Football. TE, I wish him well, I feel he was a better tandem with Scott.

I felt the same then, and it hasn't changed any. Every time I think of BV, I see him telling everybody that would listen, how much he, and his family loved Clemson, and that he was a loyal type of guy that didn't need to be a HC to be as happy as he was in Clemson, and that Clemson didn't have to pay him anymore more bc he was making more than enough doing what he loved doing at a place he loved being at.

And then seeing how he was acting when he got off that plane in Oaklahomo, and saying the things he was saying. I'll never forget what he was saying while at Clemson, and when he got off the plane as OU HC, IMO he is as good at being twofaced, and a believable liar as any person I've ever seen, and I will pray that he fails, and falls flat on both of his faces at OU, and I hope that it happens soon rather than later!!!!!!!!!

No, I don’t think any of our coaches who have left, left Clemson in a way that warrant fans hoping they don’t do well. Not sure I’d see eye to eye with a Clemson fan who did. Sure it’s a competitive sport and I hope we don’t lose too many recruits to them over the years. But personally I’d feel like a jerk rooting against these guys, BV, JS, TE to be successful.

Tony Elliott is a true Clemson man, and he will be Clemson man anywhere he goes, and I do hope him success where ever he goes. I hated his play calling at times, but I've never wanted anything bad for Tony, and personally, I hope that he can win a Natty on his own at Virginia. A HC that graduated from Clemson and taking a team that he was coaching to the title game and winning it all would be cool, and it would reflect back to Clemson where he went to college, and learned to be a college FB coach/HC with a Natty that he won as a HC!!!

You might want to pull hard for Jeff Scott to do well

Dec 15, 2021, 12:58 PM

He's 3-18 heading into his 3rd year. USF fired Charlie Strong after finishing 4-8 in his 3rd year before Scott...and he took them to two bowl games the previous 2 years.

You shouldn't every worry, or care about what others think about what you do unless, you are doing bad things that could negatively affect your family or yourself.
