That Syracuse game REALLY upset some folks..

I really enjoying seeing all of the collective angst lol. The outsiders do not like the fact that we benched our QB vs Cuse and pulled out the win. In a perfect world for them, we keep DJ in the game and he possibly continues his turnover avalanche resulting in a loss.
Obviously, we still have some work to do starting Saturday in South Bend but we're on the cusp of making it back to the big stage. Championship Phase has officially begun.

Heck, if just one of the turnovers had been avoided, the score changes by 14 points, most likely. We had what, 2nd and goal? Fumble returned for a TD? The DJ INTs and the Shipley fumble stopped our drives, but I think they only got 3 pts off of them.

as you say, was on the two yard line and resulted in a 14-point swing.
The Shipley fumble was on the end of a great run for a first down deep in Cuse territory.
We moved the ball pretty much at will against the Syracuse defense. I think that’s what CFP folks saw upon close inspection rather than a quick glance at the box score.

They were beat up after the game with us. Happens all the time. Teams get overly hyped to beat Clemson, fail to and get beat up in the process. Next week they are wounded and flat, and play that way.

When Clemson has a close game win we suck, but when any other team does they are gutsy and showed the heart of a champion, it's unreal.

This was exactly the narrative when we had to come from behind to beat SYR, we sucked, but when OSU came from behind to beat PSU it was because of how great they are.

That's the thing if you really look at it, it has taken either 100 yards worth of penalties (especially in key spots) or 4 turnovers in a game, just for the game to even be close. A complete clean game by Clemson and none of those games are close. Like if you think about it from the opposing side of things, I would be like..."Well ####, how much help can we get in a game.....and still LOSE!" If we played a team that racked up that many penalty yards or turned the ball over 4 times (3 in the redzone), it would be a blowout. But yet, we still find a way to win.

are we capable of a clean game? in the end, the performance on the field is who we really are. We have the potential to be much better, but we haven't done it yet.

We have had a clean game, several it seems, in terms of penalties and turnovers. But we have not had that combined with good O and good D.

Yeah we turn the ball over 4 times and still win and they say Clemson escapes with a win. Any other team has to come from behind and they turned it up when they had to. It is almost laughable at this point. As the manager from Major League said. That leaves only one thing to do. Win the whole #### thing!

I dunno. Four turnovers and got a win sounds like an escape to me. Tough to win with four TOs. If we had four TOs and won, I'd say we got #### lucky.

My point is that when any other team does it the narrative is(fill in blank with any team) they turned it on in the 4th quarter and pulled away. It's annoying but it doesn't really phase this team. They just keep on beating all the great teams that they can't play with.

Also it's not luck when your defense steps up and shuts the team out in the second half and we score 17 points. In their eyes it's as good as a loss. Everyone else just win baby!
