Also sucks I won’t be seeing him play any more. Was looking forward to seeing him on the tour.

It’s. It going anywhere

They have 100’s of billions of dollars and they are not running this thing to turn a profit. They are trying to ease the image of the Saudis. They don’t care if they lose a billion because it flops. They will only be getting more big names, the PGA can’t compete with what they are paying these guys just as an appearance fee, let alone the winnings.

Watched all 3 days. Hoping he would have made one more birdie or the two guys just in front would have bogied. More money in his pocket. Good call by the kid if he gets to play in all the events

Today’s final round was made for tv if they send them off in 3’s. JT, Rory and Tony. Should be a good one.

Just mentioning their is a great tourney on tv today if anyone was unaware. I personally don’t care for the LIV or why they started it. No one they have gotten so far interest me at all and a few Reed, Na and Garcia I’m glad to have seen move on.

I think most the players won’t miss those guys either, especially Reed.

Augusta is it’s own entity, they do what they want. They don’t follow the PGA “rules” and the PHA has no say in what they do. All the past winners are exempt and allowed to play all the majors they’ve won. If Augusta wants Turk to play, he will be allowed.

Yea, unfortunately he is no D.J. or Phil and probably won't ever see the type of money they got just for signing .Problem is he will never get to show anybody how good he might have been on the PGA Tour because he liked the initials LIV better. So he will play another 6 events this season and will definitely cash in enough to live comfortably until LIV 2023 start up. But don't expect to see him at Augusta next April.

Its hear to stay because of the $$$$. Same reason why athletes flock to SEC

Money always wins out and that with most money usually dominates. Just look at college baseball. SEC has good shot at 5 of the 8 in Omaha which sux but follow the cash.
As far as PGA, they better go back to the sponsors and get them to ante up to raise the purses or more will defect. $4,750,000 for Charl Schwartzel in a 3 day tournament will make the elite players take notice.

If you are playing for the money it’s a good gig but if you want to play against the best in the world then you stay put. Phil, Ian, Reed, Garcia have no appeal to me. Wish they would mention all the players that have said no thanks instead of who went. Charles Schwartz’s winning their first event tells me a lot about the competition so far. Turk will play Augusta if invited which is probably less than a 1 per center. Just looking at their history of invites they are a very selective invitational tourney and I believe given the opportunity would invite more top tier am players over a guy that finished in the bottom 5 of a Saudi backed golf league.

will take notice. Blessing for PGA players is that LIV will cause PGA purses to increase too for fear of losing these guys.

People do not realize how much the PGA raises for charities as well in these tourneys. Every week they will name a dollar figure raised for that tourney’s charity and it’s not chump change.
Maybe the PGA could do away with charity and just give Dustin more money to stay on with the PGA?

The only thing that will keep top guys on the tour is off they care about the history of the PGA and being an all time great, like tiger, it’s a mindset. I don’t think tiger, in his peak, would have gone, he cared about being an all time great and respects that history and always strived for greatness and chasing Jack. The guys today don’t seem to have that same passion and goals, certainly some do but they are more the exception now, not the rule.
