I need help deciphering. Are we glad we got this QB

transfer or not? I know some have said we needed QB depth, then others say this is only a favor and would suggest not meaningful transfer. I just logged on to the portal and tried to find that QB who was a Heisman candidate and wanted to transfer, but wanted to be the backup to Cade. I couldn't remember his name and couldn't find him again. Anybody remember who that guy was?

I personally don't think a 4-star player comes in anywhere as favor, especially a QB bc, it's probably harder for those guys to get those stars than most others!!!!

If you read his Bio..he played in 2021 for bama and had some
good passing stats.He played for Arizona State this year and will
be a Grad Student. He has more experience than Cade and will be
an ample backup.

If he can play well enough to allow Vizzina to redshirt. It's a very good addition. If not... the scholarship could've been better used elsewhere.

We HAD to pick up a serviceable QB. The QB room was so thin, we wouldn’t have been able to even practice as normal. This, coupled with “injury insurance” completely validates the use of a 1-year scholarship.

Hunter Johnson, then Hunter Helms.
Regardless, this is a good get for us. Necessary insurance at the most critical position on the field.

Absolutely happy about it. He has some game experience that could be critical for us if Cade was to have to miss time especially early in the season.

Similar to Hunter Johnson coming over. Probably not much of an on-field impact but will be good to have an experienced voice in the QB room.

Did he arrive via the Transfer Portal? Or, did he come in as a graduate transfer?

I fell that Dabo will routinely pick up a grad QB . He is going to have a difficult time keeping both Cade and Christopher at Clemson. He wants to keep a serviceable veteran QB. This guy could be QB number 2 in the post season next year.
