just the famous ones? Serious question.

Being a pastor he most likely baptizes anyone who asks.

I don't go to NewSpring, so this is just an assumption, but I go to a fairly big church in Charleston, and the Head Pastor still baptizes mostly everyone, unless he isn't there or something.

Baptisms, but they had probably 50 people that day. The pool is in the lobby and they ran 2 at a time through. Assoc. pastors were in the pool and Perry was on the stage watching on screen with everyone else. It would take forever if he did them all himself.

I have no problem with that. I guess he makes exceptions for

think a preacher has to do the baptism...at my church, it's normally the person who was most influential in helping the person make the decision to be baptized that does it. Many times it's a family member.

Many churches are so stuck in tradition (whether Biblical or not) that they denounce anyone who does things differently.

jealously probably has something to do with it too.***

For full disclosure, I do attend Newspring. But I do think it's unfortunate the associate/campus pastors handle most of the responsibilities you normally associate with the head pastor.

No he doesn't baptize ordinary Joes or Janes. He won't visit you in the hospital either. He'll send a couple of guys that don't know you from Adam, if you request. Don't approach him in public either. He will scold you for interrupting his private time. I can't imagine Christ doing this, but he was no Perry Noble.

The church is huge. Hard to expect that. Pretty sure he did

not baptize Sammy Watkins, so just curious how that is decided. Didn't know if it was random or what. Doubt I'm going to get a sincere answer on here.

He also doesn't preach funerals either except that high profile Gaffney serial killer victim that was from Anderson. He is a great speaker. I've attended many times and I know no one is perfect, but I just can't help but see that he loves the limelight. I know a Pastor's heart when I see it. I know the love of Christ when I experience it. I just don't see alot of humility coming from him.
