Hopefully we run the ball on UGA a lot & wear them down

I believe Dabo & crew maybe downplaying our running game so UGA won’t stack the ?? box. We are going to be balanced but I believe we will run the ball very often to open the passing game up with Justin Ross & Ajou Ajou.

I would love to see it - been a minute since I felt like we could line up and pound 4-6 yards with confidence.
That would unleash our offense with 9 in the box and play-action, our dudes would roam free behind their safeties.

It will depend on whether our OL can open some holes. I hope we can have a running game that is a real threat.

or screen-run-pass-punt. UGA D is built to take away the run. Tony Elliot will have to be creative and go against tendencies. That's hard to do in the first game.

Uhm, no. Georgia is built up front to stuff the run between the tackles. That’s their strength. Against our offensive line that’s a mis-match that heavily favors the Dawgs. Attempting to run into the teeth of that defense is playing into the hands of it and just plain dumb.
They’re also pretty good at rushing the passer. In my opinion the logical plan of attack is to attack their weakness which is their secondary. …..And this might surprise you too but we’ve got a lot of weapons to attack them downfield. We can move the chains relying on our passing game, sprinkling in run plays. I would use plenty of screen passes and sweeps as well. Anything to get those big D-linemen a lot of exercise.
If I were Tony Elliott, I would place emphasis on getting the ball out of DJU’s hand quickly. If those big dudes are having to play a lot of snaps, expending energy and never getting to the QB in time to be effective, they’re going to feel the fatigue. When their linebackers and safeties begin dropping into coverage, THEN you can run into the teeth of that defensive front.

If they stack the box we will pass to open the run game. If they don’t we will run the ball whether QB or RB. We have the talent up front to run the ball, we will be much better at that this year on talent especially.
The offensive line will be the best we’ve had since 2018 with potential to even be better.
We will be balanced on offense & we run the Dawgs defense all over the field to wear them down. Personally nobody whether UGA against us or us against them is going to run over either of these defenses but we will be balanced at pass/run by mixing it up with QB runs, screens & dive plays.
Uga’s defense will not be better than what our guys face in practice by any means. We will stretch the field but we will run the ball too especially if they stack the box early. We will pass to pull them out then run the ball off of play action.
Look for our TE’s to play a big role on 3rd downs. Let’s hope for a really hot summer day for this game because our depth will begin to takeover big in the second half.
It’s going to look very much like the game they played against Alabama last year.

To answer from my point of view: "i don't think anyone is saying we will; but we have to try and we are HOPEFULL to be able to "run the football"! That might be a better way to put it.
Further, the reason I think and hope we can is because of what you said, "we were not good at it last year"! Nothing about William Christopher Swinney leads me to believe he will just let that "lie unaddressed over the off-season"! In other words, the word was out and heard and emphasis put on it. This is why I am really looking for our line to be a ton more physical than last year!
More depth at OL this year! The no spring and summer and modified fall camp hurt Clemson more than other teams because our guys have to be built in the gym. They didn't step on campus in other words with a body made to be FBS title contender type OL. Bama gets bohemoths who seem to be "out the box" ready to block in college. Clemson isn't getting a ton of that type - we have had recent success with some guys; but they were either not ready last year or not on campus yet.
I think also, that groups pride had to be hurt and if they have taken it personal - I see it getting far better! They also face one of the best DL in the country daily in practice! This by itself should be conditioning them to be more equipped to face a physical and dominant DL.

The idea of running the ball on UGA and wearing down their defense is probably a pipe dream, but we'll see what happens on the field. Predictions don't amount to a hill of beans, mine included.
Most likely, our offense will be based on the pass setting up the run game. We must have success against their secondary for our offense to operate.

It’s not a pipe dream, we will wear this team down & run a ton in the second half. If you don’t think we can wear them down, you don’t understand the talent we have & the goal of Dabo in big games. When we play Alabama we wear them down by stretching the field on their defense. We will do the same to UGA.
