Here's the general consensus from UGA fans....

OSU was more physical than Clemson and then OSU couldn't compete with Bama.
UGA did way better vs Bama than OSU even with Stetson Bennett at QB.
By the transitive property, UGA >> Clemson.
That's all you'll hear this week on ATL sports radio. That's all well and good, but teams change year to year. We shall see.

Clemson fans are not 100% objective 100% of the time, but they are far more objective and reality based than Bulldog fans.
We have been riding a wave since the start of the CFP. We've won most games and got our butts kicked a few times as well. We realize and admit this. Looking up and down this board I see folks offering realistic opinions on our game. Meanwhile, like someone else pointed out, we have UGA fans saying our center is going to be scared since your noseguard is big, and that DJ gets happy feet. Those two things right there are proof positive UGA fans are clueless.
Dawg fans are known at least regionally to overvalue your team, based on an old history, the SEC, and an imbalanced series record. What the heck do any of those things have to do with anything.
I've see you post a few things and I think you're usually pretty level-headed. But on this one you're way off base.

What I can tell you is that Clemson hasn't recently lost at home as a 30 point favorite to a two-win unranked team with a defense that gave-up 47 to Bama, 34 to Mizzou, 38 to Florida, 41 to Tennessee, 30 to A&M, and 38 to Clemson. On that basis alone, if I was a UGa fan, I think I'd be tempering any bold predictions.

To listen to these two stations, you'd basically never know there's an actual ACC school located in Atlanta.

It’s going to be a close game. Our OL will make or break the game for us. It’s the first game of the season for both teams and they’ll be knocking the rust off. Not to mention, it’s a huge game and a lot of nerves. It’s gonna be who makes the least mistakes and who can capitalize off of those mistakes.
Georgia will come out and try to punch the Tigers in the mouth like the Bucknuts did.

Much of Jawja's winning against Clemson was from the early years of the 20th century until the mid-70's. It has been different since then.

What does last year's teams have to do with this game? That type of analysis happens frequently. The fans and pundits both do this every year. Every new season brings a new team.

These guys don't even know how to process electoral ballots correctly. I wouldn't worry too much about their thoughts unless they tally the score for Saturday night and a toilet overflows at BOA stadium.
