Vol WR out for Orange Bowl

Cedric Tillman has decided to forego to the game to prep for the NFL Draft. He was an impact receiver coming into the season and had a huge game against Pitt (9 catches for 162 yards and a TD), but suffered an ankle injury the next week against Akron. He missed most of the rest of the year and only had catches in three more games. Although, he did have 9 receptions for 81 yards and 2 TDs against SCar.
In 2021, he had 64 receptions for 1,081 yards and 12 TDs. He finished 2022 with 37 catches for 417 yards and 3 TDs. His ranks for Tenn this season are 3rd in receptions, 4th in yardage, T-3rd in TDs, and 2nd in yards/game.
Obviously, Jalin Hyatt is the best WR for Tenn, but Tillman was expected to be a big part of the offense and still was arguably the No. 2 receiver despite only playing 6 games.

I’m with you. Prefer to see opponent healthy, though in the Vols case Hooker being out was a given prior to the matchup.

go into the game thinking we're gonna get their best shot with their best players.
Also, I've never liked going into games with new players whom we didn't have tape on.

These opt outs are ridiculous.
Why should fans even go to bowl games.
Why not opt out earlier in the year as most games don’t mean anything.
