Well, if youre retiring here, a college town in the middle of blooming no where might not be the best idea ever. Aside from that, hard to argue.

small town while still having resturaunts and shops. Also there's lake hartwell, If i was a retiree a house on the lake wouldn't be too bad

towns are pretty awesome. I've visited Salt Lake several times and need to add that the winter time air quality in SLC can be pretty bad. The surrounding scenic mountains create a valley or bowl for lower SLC, air quality can get very bad, especially during inversions! I've been their when they recommended folks limit their outdoor time.
When you leave the city and head to ski slopes area you immediately notice blue skies and brisk fresh air.
It's kinda hard for me to knock SLC though.

Am closing soon on 2.3 acres near Isaqueena ### to build my retirement home, cutting the drive to watch the Tigers play from 5 hours to 5 minutes!!!!!
