Football 9/10 and 9/17

With the B1G and SEC making big moves this past year I just went back and had too laugh at these two dates in our upcoming schedule. Playing behemoths like Furman and La Tech couldn’t be more embarrassing. Enough with the excuses, don’t even try. It’s the little things that matter. So, let’s talk money, there’s no way these games bring in TV ratings, am I wrong? Clemson should capitalize on they’re success and make the move. I know there are a lot of us out here that would support a move to the SEC, it’s making more sense by the minute. Along with FSU.

And ALL teams do it

I've said this over and over again. The reason you scheduled a couple of those lower tier schools isn't just to give us a couple of easy wins, it's to ensure 7 or 8 home game schedule. When you schedule someone like, let's say, Texas. They will come and play in your stadium, but they will expect you to return the favor and travel to their stadium the following year. So every other year your playing only 6 home games, and these games mean a lot to the local economy. All the small business in the Clemson area count on these home games. But playing App State or Furman or Troy, they will come play in your stadium and not expect a return trip the next year. And guess what? It's not just Clemson. Look at the Coots schedule. Look at Georgia's schedule. Alabama's. North Carolina's. You will see everyone does this. You only get 4 non conference games. One of those is South Carolina. And one is usually Notre Dame or some other quality SEC program. That only leaves two games to schedule and you want those to be home games. Hope this helps.

You write this thinking we all don’t know this happens all across NCAAF, not interested in draconian thinking, it’s weak at best. I’d much rather see Clemson face they’re league opponents if that’s the case. It’s a waste of time, also how many folks actually watch Clemson vs SC State outside of there local area, nobody. Hurts the brand more than helps, I get scared when people succumb to mediocre behavior.

Look at the schedules of the preseason Top 25 and you will realize how dumb your post is.

Realize how dumb my post is? What are you a five year old? Please add some real substance. Must be a really sad life you lead. Clemson playing Furman is like watching a senior in HS bullying a sixth grader. Ridiculous, doesn’t make them better, just adds some home games so idiots like you can drink and act like an idiot in front of your kids. Home games you already know the results of before the season even starts. Playing the best competition is always best for the fan, the school and the team.

I know it happens every year, part of the season, doesn’t make it right. People get into attack mode just for the hell of it, I want the best for Clemson and the fans. Having 7 home games isn’t the best argument when we know who is going too win before the season even starts. I’m all for the home and home games if it means quality over quantity, that’s all, I hope Clemson gets a fair deal very, very, soon. Gotta strike while the irons hot. Go Tigers baby!
