responding to another post about all the three stars we are getting commitments from. Post said that we will not see many more commitments until mid season. Reason being, the five star guys are waiting to see what happens at the top schools. Example, we lose to either TA&M or FSU, or both, it hurts us. Georgia loses to USux, it hurts them., etc. We are being smart by not scheduling official visits for the top dogs until mid season at least. Makes sense. Think about it...if we brought in a five star for an official visit in August, but he then takes his other four to GA, Alabama, FSU, and Florida during the season, and all are doing well at the time, do you think he will remember Clemson? I have all the confidence in the world with our football staff regarding recruiting.
P..S. Apologies for omitting USux from the top five programs. NOT'!!!!

I'm not worried about it. We have tons of talent and most of the current evaluations on the 2019 class are half ###. They will get solidified about half way through the season when we find out that we have mostly 4* players with a few 3's and 5's.
Players like Crouch, Pappoe, Smith, Pickens, Booth, etc will all continue to evaluate teams until they sign. If the coots and to some extent Auburn's luck from last year runs out they will come running back to Clemson if Dabo allow them. IMO if we get Crouch and Booth the rest can be 3's and it is still a very successful class. I would like to see us get one big DT and another developmental or better DT.
We are fighting the Coots and Vols for Crouch. Clemson is several tiers above both right now.
