1. They have different writers contribute to different articles, so saying "ESPN says" doesn't really mean anything.

2. The better team doesn't always win. They can think FSU is better, but Clemson will win. The predominant argument for the playoff selection was that TCU was better than Baylor, despite Baylor beating them.

3. It is early August and they just need content. It doesn't matter
