Congratulations on a great season. Got a question.

Jan 13, 2016, 12:47 AM

I'd like to congratulate Clemson for a fantastic season. Watson is a freak! That dude has an awesome career ahead of him. As a Bammer, I typically don't like to post on an opponent's forum, after a loss. However, I have a question that's driving me nuts. I keep seeing what I can only assume to be a derogatory term. What the heck is a "coot"? Over and over, I see references to them. If someone would be so kind, as to enlighten me, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

A coot is a gamecock fan and the most delusional fan base in history. They ride the coat tails of bama and claim your recent title as their own because SEC. Congrats on your season.

As stated already a coot is what we call our little brother's. If you visit one of the pages you will hear us referred to as taters, not sure why but they do. They clay every thing Bama does as thier own because of the SEC thing. I actually use to supremely dislike Bama because of all the EsecPN bias but last night as much as I hated losing Bama impressed me. Not as much as my Tigers did, but Bama didn't make mistakes and took advantage of ours, Congrats, but know one thing, Tigers are Coming. Go Tigers!

It's funny because the original, or real "coots" are nasty duck-like

Jan 13, 2016, 2:06 AM

birds. Duck hunters will shoot them occasionally, but they're worthless, disgusting, nasty creatures. Not worth trying to cook.

The image (hopefully) you see is an example of Coot (Carolina Lamecock) delusion. We are all witnesses to 3-9, and claiming your (Bama's) latest Natty as their own.

https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?&id=OIP.Mdd5786cde27a613efb60c7c897137a57o0&w=299&h=199&c=0&pid=1.9&rs=0&p=0&r=0

We use the term Coot as Coots are often mistaken for real ducks, even though Carolina is seldom mistaken for a real football team. They had 5 glorious days in 5 years, when they managed to beat us awhile back (with our help on at least two of those occasions), and that is what they hang their football history on.

Hope this clears things up.

in the bosom of cootland. Coots are delusional. It stems from a deep-seated jealousy and feeling of inadequacy that has been reinforced over decades.

BTW: they call us "taters"

also, Lou Holtz....the original "coot"

Also, anyone who is critical of the team, expresses a contrary opinion, or is less than fully optimistic about the team will be accused of being a coot, usually with a line such as "you tell'em, coot!". Anyone from another team who posts here is also usually accused of being a coot in disguise.

Coot: what we call Gamecock fans...like they call us taters.

A coot for real: A flightless bird that is black with dark red eyes (same colors as their school colors)...and their mascot...a rooster, also a flightless bird.
