Cola. Radio on Spurrier's Show:

Oct 2, 2013, 12:35 PM

Wish I was making this up, but they are totally on the defensive, claiming utter fatigue. So far, it's too hot down there, he's very old, it was very late (after 10:00PM, wooo), they can't edit the show b/c of the late hour (again, 10:00PM), he was just upset b/c of the way they played.

He didn't have much to celebrate after that one.

Stuck in traffic on a long bus ride home is very different than sitting in first class celebrating a victory.

Personally, I see that as a problem, but I'm not sure that in coaching circles in general and certainly in coaching circles from his generation, drinking after the game may be perfectly acceptable. I don't know him well enough to say he's an alcoholic. He's actually the only person who can make that determination, but hiding it only makes it look worse.

Tanner is his lackey

Jumps right in to defend him with the "spin". Who couldn't see this coming. We now know who the real AD is at usuc.

I've said it before and I will say it again.....

Oct 2, 2013, 12:54 PM

in typical Gamecock fashion, they will ignore it, deny it, rationalize it or attempt to justify it before they ever admit that Slurrier did anything inappropriate just liek they do when one of their players or coached gets arrested. It's just what they do. Same old tune just a different verse.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Half-Time guys (1 to 4 show) have been on air for 10+ minutes and have yet to mention it.

His response to the question " were you impaired?" was "I hope not". Does that not imply, it's possible.
