Coach Caldwell has been here 10 years.

Most fans are not demanding an elite OLine. I do think fans have a right to expect a “good” offensive line.
Caldwell is 67 (68 in January), and has been at Clemson 10 years. He has a lifetime of OL experience, but it doesn’t seem to translate to the team. They brought in Thomas Austin to assist. I had hoped that he would have make a difference.
I’m not suggesting firing coach Caldwell. You don’t fire staff in September, but perhaps a coordinated discussion regarding his future should occur.
The ideal situation would be for Caldwell to announce his pending retirement (retire with dignity )and begin a search for his replacement.

But no one talks about Batson anymore, and yet the OL and DL players who should get bigger, faster, and stronger over their Clemson careers, generally don't.

That’s nonsense, did you not watch Ruke Orhorhorho fight like hell against one of the best O-lines in the country? Do you remember what he looked like when he came in?

Bama and Georgia offensive linemen. They are not built the same. Not sure what it is. Any position for that matter.

UGA’s OL is a run blocking unit…their built and designed for that…
Our unit is designed to be smaller and agile to accolade the RPO…problem is that they don’t have any talent.

Yea…and maybe…I don’t know…go out and pay someone with NFL cred/experience to help with recruiting etc. we won’t win another playoff game until the OL situation improves. Elite QB talent has covered up those weaknesses for years. I’d rather have an elite OL and win with good/solid QB’s and RB’s than the other way around honestly.

Probably so. I’m hoping he will be a rock star. I expected (as most did) to see a marked improvement after a full spring, summer workouts , and fall camp.
The defense answered the call after the Ohio State debacle.
The offense did not. At least Georgia made it seem that way.
