So, if nothing changed, who is our starting point guard be today?

Either chase hunter, brevin Galloway, or one of the freshman.

Honestly I think chase hunter could possibly be a good PG

That's the problem.

Think they try Beadle or even Galloway if want more experience.

Personally, I would try that's going to be the best freshman RJ Godfrey. He brought the ball up the court for his HS team most of the time. Sees the court well at 6-7. And can really pass. He can defend the 2-4 on defense but I would play him on offense at PG if nothing else works.

Lots of options. Might see Chase Hunter start the first game at PG. He had 13 assists in the last 4 games. He had 5 against Dook.
Galloway can get minutes there also.
Beadle with a year in the program should contribute.
Godfrey looks strong and will probably will play alot. Dillon Hunter and Gibson look like they could be really good.

I really think Dillion Hunter might redshirt like Beadle last season. Too many guys ahead of him and think Gibson will get more minutes there at Point because his offense is better. Dillion needs really improve his shooting. I think unless injuries occur the staff will work a lot of his offense next season. See my thread on starter options for next season.

I'm concerned because it doesn't look like any of these options are good for ACC play. Positions 2-5 could be competitive with the top quarter of the league but the lack of a point guard could be a significant detriment.

Chase Hunter, backed up by Josh Beadle and Chauncey Gibson.***

Good ideas Judge.

See thread on possible starting line-up. Also don't be surprised to see Godfrey bring ball up court on offense some. Did so for his HS team and really great vision and passer.

You could see a switch turn on about half way through the ACC season for chase hunter.

He was by far our best creator/passer on the team for the last half of the season. He's also the best athlete on the team. I see him having no issue running point for us.

If he started at PG, I guess the lineup would look like this....

PG: chase hunter
SG: brevin Galloway
SF: Hunter Tyson
PF: Scheifflin
C: PJ Hall.

That's a pretty solid lineup and we have a chance to upgrade one of those positions through the portal. Every player on the court can hit the 3 and this lineup would be much bigger than what we started with last year.

Still don't see any way Tyson plays at small forward a lot. Not quick enough to guard quick athletes or big guards playing there. He will always be a 4 in Brad's offense.

That is why don't see Clemson getting the guy from UMKC. He will start right away at BYU and Oklahoma at 4 but not over Tyson.
