3 losses the last 2 seasons. We hadn't seen

3 losses in a season since 2014.
We haven't had 3 losses (or more, in back to back seasons) since 2011 & 2010.
If people are worried or upset, seems like there is good reason as it doesn't look like we're trending in the right direction.
- We've missed the playoff 2 years in a row, and got blown out by 21 points the last time we did make it. Last night got beat by 16 by a team without their top 3 players (QB, WR & LB), amongst others.
- Lost to SC for the first time in 8 years.
- Got physically manhandled by ND, a first in a long.

Which teams stay elite year after year? Florida won two NCs then fell off the face of the earth. LSU beat us in the NC game then crashed and fired their coach. Texas and USC were top dogs then disappeared. Being elite every year is not possible at Clemson. As long as we are consistently very good (10+ wins and conference champs, etc) we will have the elite yeArs mixed in

I know Dabo is keeping both coordinators, but wonder if he will add to the staff or make any changes during the off season. If he doesn’t, you can expect the same results next season. I know we have some good offensive line men coming in this class, but we need better play calling and player development.

Hard to argue with that assessment.
I think… without an exceptional QB, you are not going to be elite. DW4 and TL were exceptional. Dj was not. Cade… we’ll see. He’s definitely got way more upside than DJ.

He will tell you he’s a Clemson man and has been since 1968, and has attended all home games since then, and you should appreciate what Dabo has done for us peasants. He would say you must not have been a fan during the times Clemson was lucky to go to the Tangerine Bowl. Clemson Football will continue to win against slightly above average ACC teams, then get embarrassed against better, stronger teams, but that doesn’t matter!!! Be thankful for these glory years and trust Dabo. If you don’t, you suck.

We were Elite from 2015 - 2020. I don't think anyone would argue with that. I also think you could make the argument we were close to Elite in 2012 and 2013 too.
I'm thankful every day for the place the program is at. I was at Clemson from '97 - 2000, so I know bad football.
Don't want my original post to come off as sour grapes or lack of appreciation for where the program is at.
However, it's impossible to see our Offense avg 30 points a game when we used to avg 40-45 and also see lack of Elite talent/development at WR and questionable play calling at times and not worry if things are going to get better, when the last 3 years would suggest it's going the other way.

To be honest, it's inevitable that there will be a fall off. It's happened to literally every dynasty in college football.
I believe it can be rebuilt. It's just unreasonable to think this would happen.
