I have a rich GT friend who despises AD Raz & joined IPTAY

to congratulate us on taking this man off their campus because he & others feel he destroyed their sports program in some major ways..plus, Paul Johnson is not liked & is an #### h*le (iho).
Know this wealthy 50+ year GT donor (son was All-American there) & box seat owner and others have raised the many $Millions to buy out PJ, but the GT Prez & Board won't hear of it. Main thing they dislike (other than his mean disposition) is his Offensive scheme will win 7-9 games (not 10, 11 or 12 they wish for)..plus that option attack will not do the job against a top notch DC who has some time to study it & get his team ready for it.
Remember when Clemson lost 2 to GT in same year with a pretty good team (CJ scoring all over) but we never got time to digest the O attack. Then, Iowa got a month to digest it for bowl game..and killed GT.
Back to AD Rad (or Raz as I like to call him)..Even though he seems to be a neat, smart, energetic & liked guy on campus, I had some funny feelings about him the first moment I saw/heard him on campus..and just don't think he's a "Clemson" type of guy for the long run..and after hearing he's been at SC & other places..my intuition "may" have been right.
We'll see, won't we..starting with the basketball arena decision (I like the present facility for the teams & crowds we put out these days. I'd rather upscale our recruiting abilities with some terrific wins {Duke..and maybe UNC soon} but I realize great facilities impress the recruits). So, what comes first..the egg or the chicken? Ooops, didn't mean to go there!!
What say you about these 3 topics (Raz, Paul Johnson & new Basketball arena)? GoTIGERS!

to me it felt like he was probably hired specifically to deal with the Hoops arena issue based on this GT experience. the fact he messed up and got them on probation for a relatively minor transgression has been a concern to me. I kind of wondered why they didnt hire the new pres and get him on board before getting a new AD

GT is in a really tough spot

Dan R tried as hard as he could to generate interest in the football program but it's lost in the shuffle here locally. Every Bubba in the state is a Georgia fan.....their fanbase is extremely small and it's limited outside of GT families and grads. Their arrogance knows no end and it turns away regular guys who may simply want to pick and team and pull for them.
Paul is obviously going to either quit or get fired in a few years. His offensive scheme simply can't recruit the kids to compete at this level. His talent and results have fallen off since Chan's players left Atlanta.
This isn't a Dan R problem....this is a GT problem.

good D-line, they kill his offense (see CU this year); I like the updated Littlejohn with students on the floor.
