Ranking the sweet 16 coaches (mine with formula disclosure)

Coaches were ranked with 1 point for each point of their winning percentage plus one point for each NCAA appearance plus 5 for each final four plus 20 points for an NCAA championship.

For example, a lot of these coaches have taken their schools to many NCAA Tournaments, but several are known underachievers in the Big Dance. Rick Barnes and Mark Few come to mind.

Many of these schools are basketball schools, with a winning pedigree, consistent administrative support, and rabid fan support. That makes it easier to make the NCAA Tournament.

With that said, I think Brad is ranked fairly here. Hopefully he will continue to take us on deep NCAA Tournament runs and move up the list.

If Hubert Davis, as an example, was hired at Clemson instead of UNC would he have had the same level of success? IF CBB had been hired at UNC instead of Davis, would he have been in the tournament this year?
