Question for the board...

I've noticed some of the folks on here have some disdain for Will Merritt. I'm unsure where that comes from and curious to know why so many don't like him calling games on the radio?

I happen to like Will and enjoy his commentary generally...he's not the best, but he sounds more like I do than Yannity.

Anyone?

To the Original Post i don't mind Pete or Will but there is something missing without Jim calling the game. And i think those 2 guys would agree.

grew listening to him and loved "Leonards Losers". Those falls days in the 80s were very special and always will be. I hope my 2 year old will have the same memories.

1000 times better than Todd Ellis and Tommy Suggs.

Those two are complete morons. I'm not even talking about from a Clemson perspective--they're just impossible to listen to.

Ellis just gets really excited and reacts to what's happening without describing it or when he does actually say what's happening on the field it's horrible hyperbole, e.g. "And Marcus, WITH A BURST OF SPEED UP THE MIDDLE...for a gain of 2;" "And DJ SLAMS HIM DOWN ONTO THE TURF...13 yard gain." Suggs just babbles in the background.
