DJ was rough the first half. Once he was given a few plays, he rose up and showed much better accuracy. There is reason for optimism here. Fixated on Beaux a lot.
Cade is a gamer. The energy changed when he came in and he delivered on expectations. Shined vs backups. Accurate, good velocity, and great mobility. He should get a series or two vs the 1s.
OL:
Miller is still a freshman. GT went after him hard and the coaches let him learn... or just didn't send him much help. Less run push than I was expecting, but I'm wondering how much up the gut was planned to assess that part of the line. C was okay, but a few snaps got away. Improved, but not where it needs to be.
WR:
Mixed bag. Young talent, some great catches, and some headscratching drops. Almost looked like DJ was getting sabotaged a few times. Williams' speed is going to help a lot.
TE:
Looked good. Caught the ball, blocked beautifully several times, and never seemed a liability. I'm not sure why they can't seem to be in the middle third of the field, but I'll take what we got. Huge upside here.
RB:
A bit underwhelming. Not sure how much was on the OL vs play calling vs the backs, but there's too much talent there for the lack of big plays. Good hands though.
