resulting in cries to fire coaches, even questioning Dabo, his whole philosophy, and the heart of the players. There has been much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
In this turd of a season, we will finish 9-3 having just dominated the #10 team in the country and plucking the chickens once again (don't worry). If that's as bad as it gets, we're in a pretty good place. I know it's been frustrating, but about 98.5% of all college football programs would kill to be right where we are right now.

I agree 100%
It’s even possible, but unlikely, this horrible season could contain an ACC championship and very possible that we will have 10 wins

Agreed. I’ve talked to a couple buddies of mine over the past few weeks, one of which went to Florida, the other one has a family member on Texas’ staff. Both of those guys said, “stop worrying/complaining”. Those two programs have tons of money, resources, and similar expectations (right or wrong) and yet they’re struggling to make a bowl. Their down years are far worse than what we’re experiencing. Throw LSU in that group as well.
What we saw this year was incredibly frustrating but to the OP’s point, when you put this in the context of other programs, we are ahead of almost every program in the country, save for a few. If Clemson bounces back next year, wins ACC and is in the hunt for the playoffs, very few people, recruits included, will remember the details of this down season. As fans, we’ll remember far more than we’d like to, the injuries, the DJ overthrows, etc. and that’s part of being a fan. Perspective goes a long way though. This team grinds out a 10 win season that will absolutely help the program in the long term. That’s what helps prevent multi-season slides like Southern Cal, Nebraska, FSU and former great programs have endured for over a decade. Like investing, Dabo will have managed the downside better than most. It may not be sexy in the moment, but in the long run, it makes a big difference. Go Tigers!
