P2 National Title & R.O.Y National Titles Is Coming

One day you may see what is currently the P5 National Title become the P2 NC. A new level of college football that consists of schools that were not enough of a $$$$ draw to make the P2 leagues will have a National Champion. You would of course then have FBS, D2, and DIII.
It's not taking your ball and "going home" if the powers that be reject your ball and you. Football isn't a cheap sport to have on your campus. I think some type of language of repayment perhaps would have to be included if a kid goes to a ROY Conf. school and wants to leave early for more NIL money via the transfer portal.
That's the view I have from 30 thousand feet at least.
Sure there are particulars that would be obstacles or even roadblocks to this happening.
But, eliminating potential opponents via the "you don't have enough money to play on my field" isn't fair(we all know that). If not this; something that does give schools left out of the big money schools/conference schools something to shoot for needs to happen. Otherwise, why are you playing? You don't even have the facade of "potentially" playing for a National Championship like the current Group of 5 teams. Who b.t.w need their own National Champion now!

I would like to add: "nobody losses enthusiasm when you see these teams win State titles in High School football"! You really don't. People can compartmentalize their feelings and use logic long enough to say: "those schools have built-in advantages and that's the reason for the divisions"! Only a foolish person thinks it has no barring on the ability to put a better team on the field. For example, school A has 350 people in their 9-12 grade school. School B has 2,200 in 9-12 grade. When you take out the people who don't play sports, the other sports players' school A is probably left with something like 40 kids who "qualify". School B on the other hand is probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 kids. Of which they can pick and choose the very best size/speed/ability-wise. School A has to fill a roster and has to take what they get and hopefully can build a kid up to what they need at a particular position.
Splitting these championships up, in short, is done for a logical reason: Splitting up the divisions in ***earlier I should have put FCS*** FBS to having their own National Champion seems like the only way many schools will be motivated enough to continue fielding a football team. Especially because, the money won't be there as a school like Wake, Duke, Arizona St, Oregon St, Syracuse, Oklahoma St, TCU, etc. "won't have the conference affiliation that ensures them a split of the money from TV deals"! How will they survive? I'm sure the TV deals will be out there; just not as lucrative! Football at most schools "drives the economic bus" for the entire athletic program! So, cutting football out could potentially cut out or cut down on other sports that basically get funded off football. I think you have to have some type of motivation, right? Again, the facade won't even be there to have the potential to compete pretty soon with the realignment of these super-conferences.

As Dabo has stated..only 12-15 teams have a legit shot st the CFP, so your reckoning would change that and level out the playing field.

I have to say: "it's an honor to get my name typed up by a living TNET legend bulb"! Thanks!
And, yeah! I hope the people with the ability to make this happen are able to see it that way or something similar.
p.s. SCAR would not go to the ROY league after they get kicked out of the P2. Depending on where Clemson is: "they likely try their luck at a level under where Clemson is(fitting)". Probably FCS - but nah, South Dakota State Bison would smoke them there. D2 then.

Crazy Question: Could CU become an Independent?

Didn't want to start a new thread. But, how would it look for Clemson as an independent?
I mean, you could basically have an SEC schedule and mix in a couple of Big 10 teams.
Or would there not be enough room on the schedule of teams in the P2 conferences?
Just a crazy thought. Anybody?
