Every time our offense has sucked since 2010

Nov 29, 2022, 9:54 AM

Spoiler alert!!! It correlates with bad qb play

2010 - Kyle Parker was our starting qb. He threw 12 td's and 11 picks
2011 - We brought in Chad Morris, but also had a new qb. Tajh Boyd threw for 33 TD's and 12 Int. Tajh started 3 years, and put up video game like numbers
2014 - Cole Stoudt started the season as QB. Offense was stagnant. He threw 9 TD's and 10 INts. In Deshaun's first start against UNC, he threw 6 TD's. It was clear our offense was way better w. deshaun.
2017 - Kelly Bryant started the entire year. Although he did an admirable job, it was clear our offense didn't have the same explosiveness. He threw 13 TD's and 8 Ints.
2018 - Kelly Bryant started the year and it was still clear we weren't going to win a playoff game w/ him at QB. Trevor Lawrence begins to start and he goes on to throw 30 TD and 4 Int on the way to winning the national title
2021 - DJ Starts the year, and he performed worse than any QB I have ever watched for Clemson and even college football. He throws 9 TD and 10 INT
2022 - DJ Starts all year, and it's clear he has gotten better. Even with the improvement, he is not a good QB.

All we need to do is hit on a QB. If Cade isn't ready, then we need to get the best QB from the portal in the offseason. We can't risk next season on a true freshman QB starting the whole year.

I think that's kinda true of any football team

As the QB goes, so goes the offense.

Our ACC/Big Challenge record has sucked since 2010

Spoiler alert!!! It correlates with bad BB coaching.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

QB is a big issue.......but not the only one........

Tom Brady would struggle with this team.

it's ALL on the coaches.

Kind of early to say Cade isn't that guy

in spite of the fools posting here "if he isn't ready by now, he'll never be." He's a true freshman.

As an analogy, what if we'd held that view on KJ Henry? Tee Higgins? Tajh? Isaiah Simmons? Go back and look at Steve Fuller's freshman and soph years.

Most freshmen are not DW and TL, or Wilkins, or Dexter. They're more like PJ Hall
