Tara Reade defects to Russia. I don't know much about Reade or her story about Biden, but from what I did know, this is not something I saw coming. BUT...all other issues aside (Biden, the war), if you defect to Russia, then a giant effin' Rock, Flag, and Eagle eff you, traitor.

If you defect, and your choice of a new home is Russia, I'm just going to assume no matter what you did, your motives are now highly suspicious. I feel that way with Snowden. With Assange. And now definitely with Reade.

Suspicious? You betcha.
Conclusive? No.
Ms. Reade, from what we had read about her and her issues with Biden from decades ago, is a delicate woman. The fact that she was a committed supporter of Crazy Bernie in April / May 2019 (long before the Democrat POTUS primaries had begun) gives plenty of insight into her gullibility.
I believe that Biden was probably ‘handsy’ with Reade back in the early 1990’s (she looked good back then) and Biden … same as many self impressed guys from that era … believed that their ‘handsiness’ was perceived by the ladies as little more than non-sexual friendliness with an unspoken invitation to accept booty calls. Depends on where you are or work, ‘handsy’ behavior by men towards women has been included in the repertoire of ‘sexual harassment’ claims going back to before the 1990’s.
Reade doesn’t seem to have many friends, the people with whom she had been close in recent times were magazine / news reporters who were cultivating a friendship with Reade in hopes of getting the big story out there first.
In other words, Ms. Reade had (has) most of the makings of a psychologically fragile person. She appears to be smart enough to be opportunistic; the “me too” bonanza may have resonated with her.
What to do?: Whether Ms. Reade sincerely wanted to bring to light Biden’s sexual harassment activities, or whether she intentionally planned a totally fake case against Biden for pure financial + notoriety benefit, she would not be unreasonable in fearing that POTUS Biden might use the federal bureaucracy to take revenge on her. Who (that she trusts & respects) is there to advise her differently?
Enter the Russian spy: With (presumably) none or few trusted confidants, Ms. Reade would be susceptible to encouraging words and the promise of a safe and secure life from the smart Russian spy woman.
Off to Russia: I can see why she (given all that I’ve guessed that I know about her) would see Russia as a better bet than staying in the US. Just another example of a confused person that wants to be taken care of.

Snowden you could at least argue he had to go outside of the long arm of the U.S. But Reade isn't a fugitive. She willingly picked Russia. You could throw a dart at a map and end up in a better place.
