One thing that this year's team did not have much of....

was adversity during the regular season. Go back and look at our games, we flat out destroyed some teams and other teams we slowly just dominated defensively while the offense wore them down.
The only games that had some adversity were:
- Auburn in the first half....but we sat on lead in 2nd half. - @ Syracuse...but with KB's condition, etc...that's in a different category. - @ N.C. State...we were down early, fought back and then won a hard fought game, but still were managing a lead going into the 4th quarter.
But think about the other games....
- Kent State- blowout - @Louisville- blowout, never in doubt - BC- was close for a while, but ran away in the 4th. - @ Va. Tech- controlled from start to finish - Wake- controlled from start to finish - GT- controlled from start to finish - FSU- a little adversity late, but then we shut the door - Citadel- blowout - @Scar- blowout - vs Miami- blowout
Last year's championship team faced a lot more adversity and were in more close games, to the point where it was annoying because you felt like they should've won by more. This year's team won most by double digits and didn't have many games where we actually trailed.
I think that last night, when things got tough, we had not quite faced as much adversity, and weren't used to playing from behind. And that was yet another difference.
