Idk what they were watching, but there wasn't much of a silver lining in that game. It's gonna be a long season and 3-9 is still very possible lol.

Once they play someone with a pulse they will absolutely get blown off the field. And what does this say about Brandon, their savior at QB? The only man on the field I would take is none other than the guy we would only take as a DB, Bryan Edwards. He could be really good.

If I were a gamecock fan, I'd be happy right now too. First goal achieved. Here's hoping my Clemson Tigers can be 1-0 after Saturday night.

Yep true coot fan. Most high-school teams wouldn't be scared of that so called football team that played last night. That team is plain awful.

Frightened to death that the whipping we put on your worthless weak SEC Least team will weaken our schedule and cause us to miss the playoffs. We need a new rival 09. Maybe Newberry would be more competition.

LOL...scared? Vandy (the SEC-East perennial doormat) scored the exact same 10 they did in 2015 (so defense didn't really improve much at all), and SCar scored 6 less points than they did in 2015....and those less points are with Vandy playing 6 yards off the receivers the entire game. ^_^ Did you watch the same game everyone else did?

I was actually impressed with the way the defense flew to the football. You could definetely tell a difference on that side of the ball.
Offensively Mcilwain showed some potential but the fact is he wouldn't sniff the field on the majority of power 5 teams this season. Bryan Edwards is the real deal....but as a true freshman he's obviously the best receiver you have and that's not good news.
The talent just isn't there and I think you know it will be atleast 2-3 years before you can even think about competing for an SEC East title or winning another game in the rivalry.

Please tell me you are joking.
Defense "flying to the ball"?? Vandy's QB was 8/22 for a whopping 73 yards and 17.3 QBR. He couldn't hit the broad side of the barn most of the game, yet still wasn't intercepted even once, even when throws went straight at S Carolina players without a Vandy guy in sight of where the ball went.
McIlwain showed "promise"...yeah, of being benched and Orth being the team QB...McIlwain was 5/11 for a whopping 35 yards, and had only 7 carries for 29 yards, 0 TD's...and that wsa against Vandy's defense. He showed he can scramble some, but there is a reason Orth came back out. It'd look much worse against any stout D, especially one that doesn't play 6 yards off receivers (which helped Edwards on the slant routes).

The Vandy QB was indeed awful....don't get me wrong I'm not saying they're a top 50 defense or anything but I expected them to give up more than 10 points.....
Mcilwain is a true freshman....not many players that can come in and perform like DW....he could turn into a good player for them 2-3 years down the road but I clearly said he would redshirt on most P5 teams.

Well, in fairness, when the QB is throwing at an empty field with no white in 10 yards of the ball, kind of hard to score more than 10. Can't really say that's S Carolina defense shutting them down either. Their HB was all they had working for them, and they quit using him.

scared of what USuCk is putting on the field these days. Your game with the mighty Vandy looked like two monkeys %$#@*!# a football. But I will say you hit the high water mark with a Muschump offense. 13 points is great, congratulations!

Coot radio host said his offensive MVP of the game was the kicker. Someone corrected him saying that he's not an offensive player, he's special teams.
His reply was "well he scored points, this isn't rocket science, people!".
Personally the entire game was offensive to me.
They also booted benji Norton (the half-blood tiger) off the morning show, calling him a "tater" in one of their on air ads.
You can't make this stuff up!

Looked at a few sites projecting the SEC this season. Consensus projects Coots last in the East. Vandy was projected 5th. Coot's next opponent, Miss St is picked for last in the West. Plus with the entire U of Mizzou ( proj 6th East ) turning into a basket case on and off the field, Coots will have their best chance to beat them for a long while. Must to be a rush to know your team can win a few games because you suck slightly less than some of your lesser conference opponents. As far as their chances against E Carolina, UMass, and Western Carolina I'm not sure. All I can say is that the Citadel says hi to the Coots.

ECU, UMass, WCU, and one more like at Kentucky or home vs Mizzou. Vandy's passing game was horrible, but SC's run defense looked a lot better than a year ago. Their offense was OK in the 2nd half with Orth throwing down the field a bit. That's good enough to get another SEC win because there are a lot of SEC teams that can't throw the ball.
