Swinney is the highest paid employee in SC. Saban, Smart, Day, and Harbaugh have all been criticized, it comes with the territory. Swinney is not immune from criticism, no matter what the TNet cultists say.

Employees as if they’re state park rangers or work for the DOT. The athletic department is self funded; they earn all of the money they spend, and even contribute the surplus to the general education fund. But you are correct that as a very high profile and well paid coach he should expect scrutiny to come with the job.

Grace was the Clemson beat writer for the Athletic and attended press conferences. She is a terrific sportswriter.
Unfortunately, with all of the changes (and cuts) at the Athletic, she has moved (or been moved) to covering recruiting nationally and now covers Clemson football (and, to a lesser extent, USC) part-time, and just barely.

and I can’t believe anyone would ever pay to read her articles.
I’ve heard her ask a question one time to Dabo, and it was to try and pin him against the wall about the racial crap back in summer 2020.
