Had my eyeball lens replaced at Clemson Eye when I was 69. I am a backyard bird watcher/beer drinker, so better vision is a plus. My eyes were not too bad except for a torn cornea.
Age clouds the lens. I have been amazed how that cleared up my sight. At 75 require no glasses.
I recommend it for all of the older folks here.

The older you get, the harder the bar is to push up when doing bench presses -- at least in my experience.

I thought I was in good shape until I reached 99 plus one day. Then things began to come unglued, untaped and aches and pains became a part of joints I didn't know existed. Today I went for a Cat Scan of my "innards". I have no strength or stamina. Just hoping and prating I can make it to Thanksgiving Day for No. 100 and the big bash on Nov. 26. I hate to complain this late in the game but I had very few problems in my first 99 years.

Good post Joe.
Most here don't understand aging.
It is about things like genes, but life style is a thing.
One big deal for most my age is joints, but I have been blessed in that area.
At 75 I remain OK. Like most of any age am kinda fat (6' 200lbs) . My strength is as good as ever. I need no meds. My eyes and teeth are good. Many here on Tnet (and my Bride) suggest my brain is gone.
Stamina is gone. That is true for all old folks. The diaphragm hardens and O2 can't move around as well. I can probably hold my own in a 5k against most on Tnet, but the stamina drop off is extreme as one ages.
Any day I wake up again is seen as a good one.

Well Joe, if you have made it this far without the problems you are experiencing now, then 100 is a given!!!
The aches and pains that you're having now, I have been having them plus some for a few years now, and that is 100% the truth. I'll turn 69 on Nov 27th, and I just take everyday one day at a time, and I pray for those that are in worse shape than I am, that hasn't lived as long as I have before I ever knew what getting older was about. I don't think about that guaranteed day anymore bc, it will come, and there isn't a thing that medical science can do to stop it!!!!
