are today's football.
I guess that is good for many.

I think we can all agree it is different from the days when college football was more about the college and less about the player.
These are exciting times, but those days were too.

One reason I became less of a rabid NFL fan is when every year players started to move around. Being just a loyal fan, it hurt when they joined another team. I understood it is was a business, but I tried to hide that from my brain.

Being a selfish fan, I want to welcome in every kid who chooses CLEMSON over hundreds who want him and give my 100% support. I do that. I understand that in today's football that is naive.
Now it is all less about CLEMSON and more about $$. I understand it has always been sorta like that, but not so much in my face. Poor me. Like with today's players, think only about myself.

Still, I am going to miss guys like the Rangers and Banks who put Clemson first.

Good post. It’s quickly coming to the place where players are nothing but numbers in jerseys. They’re like paid mercenaries; they come and they go. I don’t care who they are. I just want them to beat the gamecocks.

Moving forward I think the schools will look to put some kind of cap on NIL. You have to figure your boosters and NIL doners are the same people so they're competing with their own roster for money. The rules will continue to evolve.

I agree. Hopefully it is not destroyed before that happens. Never thought we would see starters that were good players with chances at the NFL leaving via the portal. And it is happening to everyone. This will only get worse unless something is done.
