Good thing Clemson and Georgia isn't playing each other in a saloon town anywhere in Texas.

Good. That’s the way it should be. Constitutional right.

license, training or a background checks and no amount of gun control laws is going to change that. See the city of Chicago if you doubt this truth.

If the voters of Texas elected a majority of State government representatives to make this kind of law in their state then who are we to say Texas is wrong for doing this? Our country was founded on the principle that local/State government serves the constituency best and because of that fact, the Federal government should be very limited. Unfortunately we seem to have lost our way with the principle of a limited Federal government and are way out of whack to where some believe the Federal government has a role to play in every issue. If the size and scope of the Federal powers today were pitched to those attending the Constitutional Convention in 1787, the United States would not exist as no State would have signed on to such a large and overbearing Federal Government. I imagine the founders would have used the words "Federal Tyranny" to describe such a situation as now exists.

Here's the bottom line - the people of Texas voted to have universal carry and if they don't like it they can vote in another legislature to change it.

Cool my dad really liked the series with Robert Conrad; the reboot with will smith was just OK. What channel will it be on?

I think I can sum up most of this with "meh". We already have something like 1.5 million residents licensed to carry handguns + plenty of criminals that do regardless of any licensing. If you were allowed to buy the gun, might as well be allowed to carry it if you so choose.
