McElroy said TCU has a "much better resume than Clem"
Oct 27, 2022, 9:24 PM

What? He said we were the 6th best of the 6 undefeated teams. However, his most delusional statement IMO was that he said Michigan was the best of the undefeated teams because they have the "most impressive win" because they dominated Penn State.
Penn State? What is he smokin'?

Second is Tennessee over Alabama.
Third is Michigan over Penn State.

Thats gotta count for something.
Alabama gave Tenn some good football and came up short. Tenn gets the nod for me.

How much of Oregon’s poor performance was due to Georgia?

The Dawgs won by 46 points. That’s super dominant.

I feel like Oregon has probably gotten better, but they might also just look better because they haven't had to play Georgia since week 1.

Based on what?

Penn State’s best wins over Purdue, Auburn, and Minnesota are more impressive to me than Wake Forest’s best wins over Florida State, Vanderbilt, and BC.
Are you considering Wake’s loss to us a “good loss?”

a neutral field. That doesn't mean Wake couldn't win the game, but you cannot definitively say Wake is better than Penn State, because there's an equally or even more compelling case that Penn State is better than Wake Forest.

Really like your post Judge but I’m this case the win over Penn State was not that big. Penn had played a soft schedule as well other teams. I have to give Clemson the mood over wins against NC State and a gutsy win over a really good WF team. Also Syracuse and znV were good wins.
We should be a top 4 team!

They can talk and say all they want to. A 13-0 Clemson team will be in the playoffs. And by they way. Clemson’s resume is way better than TCU’s.

Wait until all teams have played 12 games and see what Mr. McElroy says about Clemson. He is just looking for folks to listen to him and get upset. Shucks! I pay him no attention.

Funny thing about bye weeks is that we move up by doing nothing. Somebody will get knocked off (like a TCU or Oregon) that could possibly be trouble for our playoff chances.
Clemson just needs to keep winning. A dominant performance in South Bend would go a long way, but just keep winning Tigers.

No, now that doofus is saying Texas has a much better future than Dumbo’s Aggys which as a Horn fan I find a little disturbing like a Lee Corso prediction. When someone is wrong so much I have little faith in the words coming out of their mouths. Talking heads, in general, are a complete waste of time and there’s no reason to get worked up over their comments. In the preseason, the ESPN game day crew had Baylor and A$m in the playoffs. One is 4-3 right now and the other is 3-4. Talk about stupid and the reason I don’t bother turning on college game day on a Saturday morning anymore.

Michigan has played a basicly mediocre schedule to date. So has UGA, Tennessee with exception of Bama win. Clemson should be and I am confident we will be in the CFP. UGA , Bama or Tenn will knock 2 of the 3 out. OSU has also played a fairly soft schedule. OSU or Michigan will take care of a BigTen team. The only reason some conferences get some much media attention is that those iidiotic TV executive’s that signed those financially excessive conference contracts have to push the SEC and The BigTen so they can charge huge bucks for their commercials. TV and bad officials have to much influence on the college game in today’s environment.

I honestly don't know. When it shakes out at end of season, I think Wake and Syracuse will be good wins. The rest were over rated when we beat them. But...I don't care. We win out, we are in playoffs.

"much" better. First off, neither team has been dominant. TCU has a bunch of close wins. Clemson has a bunch of close wins. Neither team has blown the doors off a good opponent.
Things in TCU's favor:
-The big XII is better than the ACC this year and they truly have no bad teams. They won't play any teams in conference as bad as BC or Miami. The worst teams in the Big XII (WVU, ISU, and OU) are still top 50 teams in power ranking metrics.
-The #1 and #2 teams in the Big XII rematch in the title game so TCU will likely get a better opponent than we will unless UNC wins out.
Things in Clemson's favor:
-Better OOC schedule. Notre Dame and South Carolina might not be great teams, but TCU played Colorado (one of the worst FBS teams), Tarleton State, and SMU in the non-con.
