Annnd, you fellas have NO idea how hard I fished this week...first time I have taken 6 full days off in a lonnnnnng time. When I say it was tough......welln some if you who fish know what ot is like to make a thousand casts in a day and not boat a single decent fish...I had 2....TWO keeper trout in 3 days. Caught a bunch of peckerhead bass on the Waccamaw Wednesday...and then got up at 4 this morning to drive from N. LITCHFIELD to Goose Creek and get in a few hours before the drive back to Powdersville...Today was a little better..but not great...

I made this video of one of the smaller ones....they were growling at each other. The biggest one may have been a 10 footer. But, it was definitely NOT a place where you wanted a fire in the boat..or to slip and fall out. I tried to get a pic where 3 of them were in 15 feet of each other, but I was actually catching a few decent fish so I didn't waste too much time. Don't laugh at the video...I don't make a habit of it....

back in some trees & a harmless water snake dropped off a tree limb into the boat- we probably wouldn’t have acted any more like a couple of 2nd grade girls if it had been a gator

Spud them mudfish have become quite common in the res. They fight like heck. I remember a time when they were very few and far between. Local guys are catching them that size almost daily now.
