I'll preface this with I am not a basketball coach (but evidently neither is Brad Brownell). We are leading by 3 with 11.4 seconds left in regulation. We have a free throw to ice the game and of course miss. Anywho, we let GaTech dribble down the court and let Sideshow Bob get off the game-tying 3 pointer with about 4.5 seconds to go. WHYTHEFUCK do we not foul them immediately and put them on the line, ensuring that they cannot tie the game? Of course they would subsequently foul and put us back on the line, but at least we would be in control of the outcome of the game.

we may be less than .500 now, but why up by three with seconds left, he sags on the screen freeing George instead of stepping out and challenging, who cares if the screener gets loose for the roll to the basket, a 2 pointer doesn't hurt you.

This defensive game tape should be a valuable lesson on how NOT to play. We switched every 1/5 high pic and roll, and it destroyed us. Coach Stoudamire knew this coverage was so bad, that he ran the SAME PLAY each time down the floor in the last 5 minutes and 1st OT.
Switching these screens was disastrous for our guards and bigs. Why no traps? Why no hedge and recover? I put this squarely on CBB.

in the Seneca All denominations Youth Church Basketball League tournament. Maybe not actually win it, because Tommy Wilson's dad has built quite a juggernaut this year at St Mark United Methodist Church...but win an early round game or two for sure!

It is weird right? I mean, every commentator comes into a Clemson game coverage commenting on how Brown L is supposedly known for defense, and yet????
Some of it was probably to be expected, its not like we have fleet of foot guards out there. Regularly get beat off first dribble

If Joe Girrard III is not hitting 3's, we're better off with a better defender in the game. He is a defensive liability.
Why Brad didn't foul towards the end of regulation was just not understandable. They were hitting 3's, so why give them a chance to tie?
This was a game we should not have lost. As Brad said in his post game interview, it slipped away. It shouldn't have.

poor defensive play and opponents shooting great on 3 pointers. Also,
opponents shooting great on 3 pointers and us shooting poorly on 3 pointers.
I did not watch the game last night, but I've seen the movie before. A lot.
Neff is going to need his big boy pants on for the end of season review.
