If I wasn't worried about uproar and feelings hurt, I'd give you an honest appraisal of this situation. As a teaser, I can tell you I would use the words bad and dominate as well. I've said too much already.

FSU v Miss St... would have to say Miss St but FSU has found ways to win Clemson v Auburn... with Watson, I'd take us all day, but without I would say Auburn Duke v Alabama... Bama Louisville v Ole Miss... Louisville's D is better than Ole Miss' D BC v LSU... LSU GT v UGA... Given that UGA has won 12 of the last 13, gotta go UGA UNC v Mizzou... UNC can score and Mizzou lost to Indiana, would take the Tarholes Miami v UK... Miami has the better D and running game, Canes UVA v UF... think UF would win this one 3-2 Pitt v A&M... Pitt's RB would have 300 yards against them, Pitt wins NC State v Tennessee... this would be torture to watch, but NCSU improved last week, so NCSU Syracuse v S Carolina... CUSE VT v Arkansas... Arkansas would have 2000 yards rushing. Wake v Vandy... these teams are twins except in points allowed, Wake 54th, Vandy 100th, Wake
So it looks like I have ACC - 7, SEC - 7

FSU could hang with anyone in the SEC. Clemson hangs with everyone except Bama. I still think they are the best despire records. Louisville could hang with everyone except maybe Bama, Miss State, Auburn.
After that I don't see any ACC teams that could be competitive against the SEC elite.
Now the SEC bottom dwellers, Kentucky, SCU, Tenn, UF, Mizzou, Arky, could all probably lose to 8 or 9 teams in the ACC on any given saturday.

put up 17 on FSU, with Watson
and next to nothing w/o him against nobody...
not saying it couldn't happen, just saying i'm not ready to call for 14+ win over Bama yet.

At full health we have similar offensive talent that OU had

Last year in the sugar bowl and on the defensive side we have much better talent. OU beat bama (which had a better team last year than this year) by 14. And I think we all can agree that stupid mistakes left 21 points on the field at Tallahassee.

I just don't want to play the "compare this team last year to this other team who played them" game...
leaving points on the field is leaving points on the field. If we do it against FSU, who's to say we don't do it against BAMA

It's the style at how we left them on the field I'm not going to say fluke plays but usually a team doesn't have an under thrown ball to wide open TE, a goalie snap over the head, and a fumble in the red zone all in one game. Instead of comparing us to last years teams how about comparing coaching styles, because Saban has not shown that he can not stop the HUNH.

I did originally but if you don't want to compare us to OU last year, then compare the coaching styles. It doesn't take long to see Saban has a weakness against the HUNH and he has yet to face a HUNH with a top 3 defense.

Alabama also had 5 turnovers in that game.
Hard to win against anybody doing that.

we did leave a lot of points at FSU, and a lot of "fluke" plays can be blamed for that... no doubt. I'm just not ready to say we'd beat BAMA by 14 when we've lost the only two statement games we've played this year. That's all.
Could we? Sure.

That is pretty close to what I think, I would go more like 9-5 or even 8-6 SEC. Don't think Vandy can beat just about anyone at this point. I would take Wake all day over that terrible team. I would also take VT over Arkansas but who really cares if the bottom of the ACC is better than the bottom of the SEC.
I would also think if SC can give Aurburn all they can handle in Auburn then at a neutral site that we could win that game as well. So if those teams play their best game it could end up 7-7 but that is asking a heck of a lot so I would still say 8-6 or 9-5.
The upper middle of the SEC would destroy the ACC though, can't see any of those teams winning either.

How many ACC teams are better than how many SEC teams?

UNC wouldn't be able to use their tutors and get demolished by Vandy.
