I had started carrying & waving this 3’ x 5’ Cotton PAW Flag in 1977 & continued that hobby at home & away games thru 1992 (15 years) attached to a 2-part 6’ Aluminum pole.
It went to many scores of home & away games..including the away games at Miami (1981Natty game), the August 1982 big game at Georgia between last two Natty Champs, the 1983 game at BC with Doug Flutie winning, the 1978 Gator “Woody” Bowl win over OHst, the 1979 win at NDame..
and all the bowls in that 15 year span including win over Joe Paterno & the Nittany’s in Orlando.
Since 1996 It’s been stored along with my 63 years worth of Clemson “Stuff” and not used for 25 years until the 2017 ACCCG vs Miami game when I brought it to that game without its 2-part aluminum 6’ pole and allowed my Son to display it over a wall ledge for a few minutes.
Today, to commemorate it’s 41st anniversary since going to the 1979 Notre Dame with my then 9 year old Son (later a Clemson Grad), I’m unfurling it at home and displaying the ole faded & beat-up piece of orange threads during the big game tonight, for good luck!
Kewl! Hopefully at some point the TV nerds will pick you out

of the noncrowd for a closeup! I will be doing a preemptive strike, having a bottle of Maalox at the ready next to my recliner, in case this game goes like the last one!
